The Promised Child

The birth of Isaac, the promised child, and his sacrifice, foreshadowed the birth and sacrifice of the promised child, Jesus Christ. Christmas reminds us that Jesus was born to die for our sins. The only gift that can be accepted on behalf of our sin is the sacrifice of the promised child.
