Abraham's complicated friendship with Abimelech illustrates our complicated relationship with God. Time and time again we sin against God, treat him poorly, and deserve to be dismissed and yet he is faithful to never leave us nor forsake us. Though we are prone to wander, our God will never let us wander too far.
