Our Story
Stone Creek Church launched on January 26th, 2020 at our current location on R and L Smith Rd. The Stone Creek community is central to neighborhoods from North Danville, Blairs, Mt. Hermon, Dry Forks and Chatham. Though there are many churches to choose from in Danville, we believe that our church serves a unique purpose to a unique people.
Stone Creek has a rich legacy and history as a replant of Third Avenue Congregational Christian Church. Third Avenue Church was originally planted in 1916 and over the past one hundred years it has served to rejuvenate a love for Christ in North Danville. We knew that in order to continue that legacy we needed to relaunch with a new vision for a new purpose.
Our hope is twofold. We desire to be a church that transforms people into productive followers of Christ in all aspects of their lives. And we wish to serve the Stone Creek area in such a way that if we were to cease to exist, the community would miss us dearly. We want to shine in such a way that people will see our love and it will lead them to a relationship with their creator.

What To Expect At Stone Creek
A typical service will last about 90 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. Our music is not loud and we don't use any effect lighting. We are trying to be as genuine as possible in our worship. The service is focused on worship and the word. There is children's ministry during the morning service for kids up to 5th grade. We encourage people to wear what they feel comfortable in. Some people wear dresses and suit coats while others dress in jeans or something more comfortable. We have people of all ages, from all walks of life and denominational backgrounds.
