Perhaps one of the hardest things for us to sacrifice is our desire to refuse forgiveness or seek vengeance. Like Newton's third law of motion states, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. When someone does something harmful to us we instinctively want to do harm back to them. Of course, as Christians, as those who have died to themselves and have been resurrected in Christ, we cannot respond to evil the same way the world does. For those who harm us we must seek empathy, forgiveness, and even blessings. Romans 12:14-21 gives us the blueprint how to leverage our lives, sacrifce ourselves, and not become what hurt us.
