Through Jesus' death the grip of sin over our lives has been destroyed. We need not fear the effects of sin, which is death, nor does sin enslave us as it once did. The prison doors are open and the chains have been taken off. Now, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can choose to walk in newness of life and consider ourselves dead to sin and alive in Christ.
