A Personal God

Sometimes we feel that God is far off and not interested in being involved in our lives. Sometimes we seem like we are going through a spiritual desert where God isn't within a thousand miles. But I assure you this isn't the case. When you feel like you are on your own, God is closer than you think. We see this in the story of Abraham where God shows up in the flesh not once, but twice. The first time he shows up in the form of Melchizedek, who seems to be a pre-incarnate Christ. The second time he shows up as the trinity in the flesh. And all of this is to assure Abraham that God is not far off, but very near and he wants to have a personal relationship with us.
