A Tested Faith

Abraham's faith had to be tested to be strengthened and true if he was to be the father of the chosen people of God. In fact, he had to endure a very hard test which would pit his obedience for God against the promises of God. In this testing, his idols will be exposed, his understanding of God's true nature will be revealed, and he will learn that above all God provides. Our faith must also be tested in this way and for these reasons.
