Does Prayer Change God's Mind

The immutability of God has been a consistent orthodox doctrine since before Christ. He is unchanging. But often when we hear that he is unchanging we aren't taking into consideration what is unchanging. Is it his will or his way? Today we see that within the scriptures there is leeway to consider that though God's will can never change, prayer is the only thing that can change his way.
