Take Care Of Widows

We are thankful for our widows. The word of God spends quite of bit of time letting us know that true religion means caring for widows. Just look at Psalm 68:5, Psalm 146:9, Deuteronomy 27:19, and James 1:27. There can be little doubt that it is the responsibility of Elders and Deacons to care for the widows in the local church. Paul feels that ministry to widows is so important that he dedicates 14 verses to it here in chapter 5. Let's look at our passage this morning in 1 Timothy 5:3-16. Honor widows!
