Revenge or Restoration

Now that Joseph has the power to seek revenge on those who did him wrong, does he? Did God establish him as the second most powerful man in the world just so he could take vengeance on those who sold him into slavery, falsely accused him, or forgot him? Of course not. In this sermon Joseph demonstrates that he is not seeking revenge but restoration with his brothers. In love he rebukes them, regards them with love and compassion, and tests them to see if they are reformed and changed. This results in repentance, restoration, and reconciliation.
