The Wages of Sin

We don't understand how great our sin is and how great our God is. If we did we would understand the depths of our depravity and the holiness of the one we have rebelled against. The punishment fits the crime, not because of the sin itself, but because of the one who is sinned against. Any rebellion to God's station demands a hefty price. Yet Christ has made a way for us to escape our pending doom. The wages of sin is more than we can bear, it is still less than we deserve.
